How To Melt Those Belly Fat Without The Crunches

By Jed Baguio Tired of carrying those extra weights around your middle? Here are some tips that can help you quickly lose weight and inches off that potbelly of yours. There are ways to have a flatter stomach without doing those dreaded crunches. Belly Fat Busting Tip #1 Increase your protein and decrease your carbohydrates. It can deliver a one-two punch right to the belly. Carbohydrates increase your insulin level which can slow down your metabolism. The body can only metabolize just so much carbohydrates at once that tend to convert the rest to sugar and turned into body fat. You just need to have 3-4 oz of lean protein with every meal. This kicks your metabolism up a few notches and an extra help of vegetables in order to add more fiber can keep thinks move along nicely. This is the first step to quick weight loss around your belly. Belly Fat Busting Tip #2 Reduce your alcohol consumption. Alcohol provides no nutrients and each gram of it contains 7 calories. 100% of the calories you consume through alcohols are stored as fat meaning every beverage you consume is converted to fat usually around the belly. Cutting back to just one or two drinks a couple of times a week will pay huge dividends to your belly fat busting account. Belly Fat Busting Tip #3 When it comes to junk-food pick two and youre through! It means to pick one salty junk food item and one sweet junk food item to keep in your house. Give yourself only one meal per week during which you will eat a small amount of your chosen salty snack food and one meal per week for your sweet snack food. An example for a salty junk food is having a plain nacho chips with fat-free refried beans, 1oz of reduced-fat, grated cheddar cheese, 4oz of boneless, skinless chicken breast strips seasoned with packaged taco seasoning, some shredded lettuce, and all the Salsa for dinner once a week. And for the sweet junk food is having a large pancake and syrup during Saturday mornings. This will play a major role in busting your belly fat and trimming inches from your waistline. Belly Fat Busting Tip #4 Another way to bust belly fat is exercise but it doesnt mean to do those dreaded crunches or go work out at the gym. You can do a structured exercise such as walking on a treadmill, going to an aerobics class for half hour to 45 minutes three times a week. Or you could give yourself a couple of projects to do around the house every week such as cleaning the garage, hand-wash the car, or do some work in the yard. Just schedule 1-2 of these kinds of physical projects every week shortly after eating a meal rich in catabolic/fat burning foods, and your results could far out-strip that working out down at the gym. Five Ways to Start Losing Weight

By John Ramkachster Some people find it hard to stick to diets and consistently fail to lose weight. They try nearly every kind of new dieting idea that comes along hoping that one of them would finally work, but the miracle never happens. Naturally, these people tend to overlook their own mistakes and fail to understand what prevents them from losing weight. The human brain displays a remarkable ability of ignoring the things it does not want to face, so its not hard to understand why some people eat all manner of things and still claim they havent touched anything but salad for a whole week. But there are ways of working around these problems and if you dont want to become one of these people, then you should stick to these pointers. Their purpose is to make eating a conscious act in order to avoid giving in to compulsions and temptations. The easiest thing to do is to carry around a notebook and a pen and to write down everything you eat. And I mean every little thing. Have you finished that half a slice of pizza that your partner couldnt eat anymore? Write it down. At the end of the day look over the list and youll be surprised at how many things you actually eat on a regular basis. Since eating and drinking are, for the most part, acts that bypass rational thinking you should try to bring them out of the twilight zone. So every time you reach out for a drink or some food, stop and ask yourself Why am I doing this?. You may be thirsty, hungry, bored, lonely, depressed, tired or stressed, but out of this list of reasons only thirst and hunger are legitimate. Put the bottle down if youre not thirsty. Put the food back on the shelf or on the table if youre not hungry. Do you crave sweets because youre tired? Get some sleep instead. Do you feel the need to eat because youre lonely and depressed? Go to the cinema or visit a friend. Read a book, watch a movie or listen to some music. There are options. Never starve yourself. This is one of the big mistakes in dieting. Unless you have enough willpower to qualify for Nietzsches Overman status you will break down sooner or later and eat the first thing that you can get your hands on. Such as snacks or fast food. Starvation also makes the body go into power save mode by limiting your energy levels and hanging on to the existing fat. The body makes no difference between dieting and actual starvation and will behave as if in danger. Therefore you must eat three meals a day, plus snacks consisting of fruit and vegetables. This is the best way to lose weight. Dont try to banish your favorite foods completely because you will only sap your own willingness to stick to a diet. The key to dieting is moderation, not denial. Do you like ice cream? Well, have a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream every Sunday. Take a break from whatever it is youre doing and enjoy this special treat. Dont feel like youre cheating on the diet and keep any guilt pangs away. Youre just dieting, not preparing for admission to a convent or monastery. So have a bit of forbidden food every five days or so and enjoy the moment. And, of course, you must exercise. If youre not used to exercising and are a bit scared of all the effort and sweating, then start small. Theres no need to rush into hour-long training sessions. Five minutes per day will do for starters. Get a treadmill and a pair of dumbbells and make your own schedule. Two minutes and a half of running and two minutes and half of curls. Every week increase the time spent exercising by another five minutes and add new exercises. Your goal should be to spend at least 30 minutes every day working out your body. Sixty minutes is even better, but it will come in time. Its OK to start small. http://weightloss-information.50webs.com Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=John_Ramkachster http://EzineArticles.com/?Five-Ways-to-Start-Losing-Weight&id=451337 dallas unsecured small business loan

Former Girlfriends

By Ken Marlborough One of the hardest things a person can go through is to break up with his girlfriend. Sometimes the breakup is messy, and could potentially end the friendship along with the romantic relationship. Possible Outcomes of Ending a Relationship: The best possible scenario is that the breakup was mutual, and you two do not have hostile feelings towards each other and the breakup. When this occurs, it would be easier for you two to develop a plutonic friendship. Sadly though, as nice as that situation sounds it hardly ever occurs. Most breakups occur due to the fact that one of the members of the relationship got hurt to the point that they did not want to continue being that person's boyfriend or girlfriend. This type of a breakup does not leave much room for friendship after the breakup. In most cases there is a lot of hate and resentment between the two, causing them to cut all communication from each other. How to Remedy the Situation: Even if it was just for a short time you and your former girlfriend shared something special. I understand that it might be difficult, due to the fact that your pride and anger might be getting in the way, but it is very important to have a friendship with her. There was a reason why she became your girlfriend. What you need to do is to remember that reason. You need to remember the things about her that you liked, as well as all of the good things you two went through during the relationship. By doing this, you will initiate the healing process, and begin a dialog with her. This dialog can eventually turn into a friendship once again. It would be a shame to throw away a relationship because of hate, anger, and pride. Different Types of Bird Feeders

By Hope Mason When shopping for bird feeders you are likely to encounter a number of different styles and designs. The type of bird feeder that is best for you might depend on the type of bird you want to attract and how close you want to be to them in terms of an observer of their daily habits. For a real close up view of feeding birds you might want to consider window bird feeders. These types of bird feeders are attached to the window glass with suction cups. You can buy these types of feeders for smaller birds and also humming birds. Be sure to make sure this type of feeder extends far out enough away from the window so that the bird does not fly into the glass. The screen tray birdfeeder, also known as steel mesh birdfeeder is a tubular silo that is filled with different types of seeds or nuts depending on what kind of bird you aware most interested in attracting. These are hung from a tree and can also be quite popular with squirrels. The most popular type of food used to fill a screen tray bird feeder is peanuts. However they can also be filled with raisins, mealworms, black oil or sunflower seeds. If squirrels and other rodents are feasting too much on your bird seed you can also buy types of bird feeders that are the weight activated and spring shut once it detects the presence of a heavier small creature. You can also buy cage protected feeders or ones that are totally housed in metal. Other protective devices for your wild bird feeders include spinners, dippers and flippers. The purpose of these gizmos is to throw the squirrel off balance should it attempt to venture onto the feeding platform. Decorative bird feeders are brightly painted because the purpose is to fool the bird into thinking they are feeding from a fruit tree. These are excellent for attracting songbirds, especially the oriole. To attract singing birds choose decorative birdhouses in colors such as yellow, orange, red or pink. These types of bird feeders are often made of plastic and might even seem a little tacky or not to your taste but it is this type of bird feeder that will appeal the most to different types of song birds, as well as humming birds. There are many different types of humming bird feeders on the market. Perhaps the most popular are the large pink plastic vessels shaped like large bulbs or blossoms. These types of bird feeders have tubes that allow the hummingbird to suck up nectar in the same way as he or she would suck up nectar from the throat of a flower. However if you really want to observe a hummingbird up close then you might want to install window feeders. If you want to attract wild birds, a wild bird feeder can be as simple as a wooden trough, a plastic plate set out on a table or a ball of suet hung in a tree. These should be placed some distance away from the house so the birds are not intimidated by a human presence. You can make your own wild bird feeder from an old milk carton that is glued to a paper plate. A little door cut out of the bottom of the carton serves as the dispenser for the food and the top of the carton is left, as it is so more food can be added to the feeder as needed. The feeder is then hung in a tree with a long piece of invisible thread or skinny wire to discourage squirrels from getting at the food. This is one of those types of bird feeders that makes an ideal craft project for kids. You can purchase a bird feeder in a retail store but sometimes you can save quite a bit of money by purchasing birdfeeders online. One benefit to purchasing a bird feeder online is that often you can buy one that is more eclectic or creative than one that you find in a store. There are also many niche sites that you should check into when purchasing birdfeeders online. These web sites are like small boutiques that specialize in particular types of bird feeders. Choosing a creative and unique design for your birdhouse can also prevent your backyard looking just like every one else's on the block. Magnetic Mattress Pads - Therapy While You Sleep

By Juliette Pickup Imagine being able to have physical therapy whenever you want, even when you're asleep? This is possible and not just for those people who have large amounts of money. This is possible if you have a magnetic mattress pad. These pads are new innovations that will provide you with the magnetic therapy that will benefit you in so many ways. These mattress pads will lie on top of your mattress and never need to be charged and they don't ever need maintenance.

You may ask how something that doesn't require you to do a lot of upkeep work can give you so many benefits and how these mattress pads can be distributed for such reasonable prices when they are so beneficial. These magnetic mattress pads provide you with high quality magnetic therapy while you are lying on them. This means that while you are sleeping on it each night the mattress pad is helping to alleviate the pain associated with certain diseases.

The pad is filled with powerful magnets set out in a pattern that has been determined to provide you with the utmost magnetic therapy. These magnets are covered with damask as well as a layer of foam to ensure that you do not have your night's sleep interrupted by the pain of sleeping on hard magnets. The magnets are orientated towards bio-north and are of a powerful enough gauss to positively affect the delicate bio-environment that is your body.

The magnetic therapy that you magnetic mattress pads provide will benefit you by helping to raise the speed of blood circulation and raising the level of oxygen in the blood. This is believed to help slow the aging since it is caused by the process of oxidization. The mattress pads are also believed to help arthritis by preventing the built up of calcium deposits.

The magnetic therapy helps with pain relief because when the rate of blood circulation rises it can become more effective in flushing away the toxins in your body that are causing the pain you are experiencing. An additional benefit is that because the toxins are being flushed away more effectively the level of your health can gradually increase as your body eliminates the toxins from your body. You body can then begin to function at closer to optimal level since it is not concentrating on eliminating the constant build up of toxins in your blood stream and else where in your body.

The increase in oxygen levels in your blood can give you more energy as the more oxygenated is distributed to the tissues and muscles in your body. This can lead to enhanced mental performance and awareness as well as increased physical performance by the increasing of your energy levels. Sleeping on magnetic mattress pads can help you to get a deep, refreshing night's sleep every night and can help you to wake up in the morning feeling energized and healthy. Student Removals - How to Get the Lowest Quote

By Stephen Willett The problem with student and any small move comes when a small load has to be transported a long way:- For the moving company, the mileage and road time costs are not much less than for moving a whole house...So your quote is unacceptably high. There are two ways to approach a solution to high cost removals: You could hire a van, (and there are van hire companies that will rent a small van 21 year olds, sometimes one way), or you could look for a removal company with whom you can part load with someone else going the same way. One way van hire could be particularly attractive if you could then find a partner to split the cost, and get a one way deal, but the problem of finding a qualifying driver may be insurmountable. So the problem for most student movers is in finding a company who will part load at a good price. Moving Tips 1) Spend some time phoning around: There is an element of luck in finding a van going your way. 2) Be as flexible as possible with your date - maybe you can organise someone at your destination to receive your property. 3) Try to find your own partner who is also going your way, and approach a removal company with a joint proposition. Apply common sense to make sure the job is easy to understand and execute for the remover
To get the best price it is vital to convince a remover that your assessment can be trusted. 4) Stop and consider the quantity of your removal:- because removals tend to be arranged before you have packed, peoples own estimates are often hazy, usually under assessed, and sometimes the actual job bears little relation to that described. 5) Package and box as much as possible, for speedy loading, protection, easy trolleying, and secure, tidy stacking on the van. 6) Consider any likely impediments to access or delivery (like locked barriers on campus) 7) Offer all the assurances needed about having your things easily accessible and that you will be ready to go before the van arrives. The author has spent 25 years in various service industries, including the last 8 in the removals sector. His website http://www.student-movers-forum.com is a resource for all small movers. You can find sources of low age van hire, specialist part load removers, packaging, message boards and advice. Mythbusters: Having a Social Life is Fulfilling

By Jeffrey Hauser I love people, so lets get that right out of the way. Therefore, Im not anti-social:
it's more like selectively non-social. Whats the difference? Well, let me describe my
previous life. I was married to a social butterfly. My wife liked company all the time. Not that I wasnt a good partner, its just that there was only one of me. She
preferred multiple contacts in every situation possible. We began going to church
shortly after my daughter was born. But we did more than simply attend: we got
involved. That meant, becoming members of various groups. The Bible-study
group, the newcomers group, the planning committee and so forth. Not only did we
go to Sunday service, we had additional meetings every week. This continued for
several years. During that time, she also got us into neighbor watch programs,
Bunko groups and work-related events. Every weekend meant a new commitment at
our house or someone elses. I had to adapt to this new lifestyle where our social-base grew exponentially at
an alarming rate. We barely had a free evening for time by ourselves. My wife
reveled in her friends and enjoyed the chance to talk and mingle. I was content to
follow her lead and joined in the fray. But it took its toll. Initially I didnt mind the
whirlwind interactions and found many of our friends interesting and compatible. But not everyone. I found I didnt mesh with some of the church people. Oh, I
was accepted, but with whom I had nothing in common. This was true for a
proportion of some of our neighbors. They were polite and accommodating, but not
really interested in us as friends. Perhaps our social status or other issues muddied
the waters. In any regard, we werent quite up to their standards. At various parties, we or they would host, I noticed that I would ask them a slew
of questions about their work or life without a single question about myself coming
in return. This occurred with an increasing frequency. Conversations were always
about their latest exploits or work. They talked about their travels. They talked
about their children. They talked about their hopes, dreams, and successes. If I even
attempted to interject something about myself, it was tolerated for mere moments
until they lost interest. Then it was back to their world. I know that this goes on for everyone reading this article. Its just that perhaps
its a best-kept secret no one likes to admit or discuss. I realized how much I began
to dread the endless social scene when we changed churches and got even more
involved, if it were possible. We were founding members and threw ourselves into
every aspect of that institution. We helped with fundraising, activities, the music, the
administration, the search for a new building, and the promotion. We were part of
many groups and our social endeavors widened even farther. Now I practically had no individual life and was ruled by a calendar. If it was
Friday, it was the Jones. Saturday, the Smiths. Sunday was church, followed by a
church lunch. Then Bible study in the afternoon. Wednesday was Bunko night,
Thursday a birthday party, friends retirement or anniversary. Add in just plain
dinner parties every weekend and there you have it. I was not relishing the days that
were flashing by filled with a sea of faces, small talk, hor douvres, and constant
chatter. I was burned out. Then tragedy struck out of nowhere. My wife died and everything changed in an
instant. Its now years later, and Im lucky enough to have found a new love and
remarried. I miss some of the old friends but none of the hectic pace. My first wife
loved the social gatherings and I thank her for the journey into that life. But now I
have a few select friends I really care about and thats okay with me. The days of
endless socializing are done and Ive moved on. I imagine there are other people
that can relate to my account and I have some words of wisdom. I went along with
my wifes way of living because I loved her and it made her happy. That was my
mission as a good husband. But I could change anything, I would have made my
position known years ago and perhaps spared myself of many uncomfortable
situations. So talk to your significant other if you are trapped in a social quagmire
and dont be afraid to be honest. I promise, theyll still be your friend. Therefore,
what's fulfilling for one person, may not be the case for the other. Myth busted! Jeffrey Hauser was a sales consultant for the Bell System Yellow Pages for
nearly 25 years. He graduated from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Advertising
and has a Master's Degree from Monmouth University. He had his own
advertising agency in Scottsdale, Arizona and ran a consulting and design

Tips For Creating New Plants For Free

By Julie Williams One of the many marvels of gardening is that you can create a gorgeous and productive garden with very little financial outlay. It will take longer than going to your nearest nursery and stocking up with everything you want. But I enjoy watching my garden evolve over time. OK, so how do I get new plants for free? The quickest way I know is to give some of your own plants away. Yes, thats right! You probably already have something in your garden that you can divide, collect seeds, take cuttings from or dig up a few rhizomes or bulbs.
Give some of whatever you have plenty of to someone who you know is a keen gardener. Gardeners are very good at sharing. The love to share their knowledge, their plants and often their crop yields. Just try giving some plants to three or four gardening friends or family. In no time you will have plants being given to you out of the blue.
If you dont have any friends (get some), join a gardening group. There are gardening groups all around the world, some of them very specific for example Orchid Gardeners Society. There are also many Community Gardening Groups that meet regularly. Look for something local to you. Collecting seed is one of my favourite things to do. You need to wait until the seed is mature (very dry). Then store it in envelopes until youre ready to plant. Remember to label the envelope with when and where it was collected and what it is. Then you always have seed ready when you want more plants. Plant division is quite a simple process. You will end up with lots of new plants. The best time to divide is after the plant has finished flowering. Take a sharp spade and lift the whole clump out of the ground.
Work out roughly where to make your divisions. Some plants you can tease apart with a garden fork, others secateurs are the best way to go and some you will need to slice through with your sharp spade. Discard any old shrivelled looking pieces, trim any damaged roots and replant new plants with a little organic fertilizer and water in well. If its warm/hot weather, keep shaded for a few days. Many plants will grow from a cutting taken from the host plant. A few plants will strike new roots just in water. Try geraniums, ivy, mints, coleus, many aquatic plants. Most softwood cuttings should be taken in late spring / early summer. Make your cutting 10 15cm long, just below a leaf node. Remove the lower leaves and dip the base of the cutting in a hormone rooting compound.
Place your cuttings in potting compost, spray with water and cover with a plastic bag. Place the pot in the shade, where it will not get full sun. When your cuttings are well rooted, re-pot them into small individual pots or harden them off before planting them in their permanent site. Plants that grow from a rhizome (root swelling) such as Iris can be divided at any time, provided you care for it as you would for any plant being transplanted. Make sure there is a healthy bud swelling on each piece of rhizome that you cut. This is where the new plant will grow from. Most bulbs need to be lifted every two or three years. Wait until the leaves have withered and turned brown. When you dig them up you will probably find small bulbils clinging to the parent bulb. These baby bulbs can be pulled from the parent and planted out on their own next season. These tips are a few ways to create new plants for free. There are more ways than this, but these are the easiest to start with. Have fun expanding your garden. Hi, I am an avid organic gardener and am known by my friends as the recycling queen. I live on a small country property in South Australia. It is my mission to encourage as many people as possible to start organic gardening. This will improve both our individual lives and the wellbeing of our personal and global environments. Please visit my website for more great organic gardening tips & information. Bamboo: a Versatile and Renewable Resource

By Michael Russell Some people may not know that bamboo is basically just an overgrown form of grass. It can vary from a dwarf variety of about 1 foot high, to gigantic varieties that may grow up to and over 100 feet. Bamboo can grow in a variety of different climates and locations, from high altitudes on mountains to the hot steamy jungle. There are two types of bamboo: runners and clumpers. Runners spread quickly and as far as they possibly can go. Clumpers expand more slowly from the original plant. Other varieties are a combination of both runners and clumpers. Generally speaking if bamboo is growing in a tropical climate, it will probably be of the clumping variety. Runners tend to grow in more temperate climates. Bamboo is often thought of in reference to giant pandas and it is very common in the panda's environment. However, there are multiple uses for bamboo, both decorative and useful. In some parts of the world, it is used for animal feed and as construction material. It can also be used for a variety of items, including furniture, musical instruments, paper, kitchen implements and even as a medicine that has been used for hundreds of years. Bamboo is a very attractive plant to grow in your garden. There are many varieties and you can choose from these depending on your climate and what exactly you want from bamboo. Caring for bamboo is very easy. It does need quite a bit of water, so if you are having a dry season, you may have to water more than usual. You can find varieties of bamboo that do well in every condition from full sun to full shade. It is even self-mulching, since as its leaves drop off, they may be left on the ground near the plant as mulch. Plants usually gain their maximum height in the first year and each following year they will branch out more and become "fuller". One of the great advantages of bamboo is its remarkably quick growing rate. Since bamboo can be used for so many of the same uses that hardwoods can, it will end up saving many trees all over the world. For example, a 60 foot hardwood tree can take up to 60 years to replace. A 60 foot bamboo plant only takes around 60 days to replace! Therefore, it makes more sense to use bamboo for as much as possible, since it so much faster to grow and has so many uses. Bamboo is a common plant in many parts of the world, but it is one which most people don't give a second thought too. It is a vital plant to many country's economies and may even help save the environment as a replacement for the slower growing hardwoods. Michael Russell
